Sherri Ginsberg ’79
the librarian for Hillsides,
a Los Angeles County foster care charity in
Pasadena, has been named one of the top 10
librarians in the country by the American Library
Association, and received the 2016 “I Love My
Librarian” Award.
1990s
Jeralyn Lawrence ’92,
a member of the Bridgewater-based law firm Norris,
McLaughlin, & Marcus, P.A., spoke on October 13 at Hot Tips in Family Law,
the annual program sponsored by the New Jersey State Bar Association’s
Family Law Section, in association with the New Jersey Institute for
Continuing Legal Education.

Susie Bartolome Peterson ’96 ’98 MA
attained a Doctor of Clinical
Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of
Health Professions. She was also awarded the 2016 Student Scholar Award,
based on the high level of scholarship, research, and writing demonstrated
for her doctoral research project.

Eyal Bino ’02
cofounded ICONYC Labs in Manhattan to accelerate
early-stage Israeli tech startups. He is also a regular contributor to
Forbes
magazine
.
Peter Jacob ’07
ran for the New Jersey U.S. House of Representatives seat
as the 2016 Democratic Party candidate in New Jersey’s 7th congressional
district, and was endorsed by Bernie Sanders. Jacob, who received a Master
of Social Work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at the
Washington University in St. Louis, is a licensed social worker.
2010s
Davida Lindsay-Harewood, ’10 MA
defended her dissertation to
complete her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall
University.
Roberto Carlos Garcia ’10,
a native New Yorker, published his first
collection of poetry, Melancolía
Linda Baron Cortes ’10 ’11 MA
received a 2016
“Mujer Legendaria” (Legendary Woman) award
from the Ford Motor Company, in recognition of
her community activism. Cortes is the founder
and executive director of Bright Futures Club, Inc,
a non-profit organization serving children with
special needs.
Richard Brandt Jr. ’11,
of the Stephen Gould Corporation, was appointed
to the board of trustees for Red Bank-based Lunch Break, making him both
the newest and youngest member of the board. He will be involved with
several of their committees.

joined J.J. Elek Realty as an agent in Woodbridge.
Lisa Chenofsky Singer ’11 MA,
a renowned certified executive coach and
leadership advisor, will be speaking at the Business Building Network of
Livingston and presenting a talk on “How To Give An Elevator Speech” to
area business owners and professionals.

were sworn in as officers to
the Toms River Police Department by Mayor Thomas F. Kelaher.
